My passion for painting began when I was very young. My parent’s art collection inspired me to paint the hallway walls, which prompted them to send me at the age of six to Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute in Utica, New York.
I completed twelve years of weekly class studies at the Institute, until I turned eighteen.
I studied art and painting at Kirkland (Hamilton) College graduating with a degree in art, minor in painting, as a certified art teacher. Later, some classes at the Danforth Museum and with Marian Parry at Radcliffe Seminars, allowed me to pursue continuing education in painting.
Now, I paint in my studio, working mostly in oils, but also watercolors and acrylics.
